What you don’t know about raising a child with Down Syndrome

Did you know?

Approximately 1 in 500 babies in South Africa are born with Down Syndrome?

But do you know what that really means – for both the baby’s future and the family’s?

Tineke Ganz-Malan is from the Down Syndrome Association Western Cape – but she is also a mom to a young man with Down syndrome.

She is here to not only enlighten us about this condition, but to share her family’s story and tell us about some factors we may never have considered.

Watch our interview to challenge your perspective on Down Syndrome and to see how a family can adapt and grow together.
