ABOUT DR QINISILE PATRICIA CELE

After obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) in 2006 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Dr Qinisile Cele (née Diale) (affectionately known by her patients as Dr Q) completed her internship at Witbank Hospital, rotating in the various medical departments. She then went on to complete her community service year in Obstetrics and Gynaecology department. It was during this time that she felt drawn to the field of women’s health and went on to obtain her Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2009.

Dr Q Cele studied further and completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration through the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS, University of Pretoria). She then worked in Pretoria West Hospital as a Medical Officer, managing the HIV Clinic and providing antenatal care. She then trained as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the University of Pretoria and obtained her qualification as a specialist in 2015, through the Colleges of Medicine South Africa.

Since then Dr Q Cele has been practising both Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Netcare Unitas Hospital in Centurion. While she has an immense passion for both of these fields, Dr Q Cele has gained a special interest in infertility and endocrinology. With the idea of opening a practice more focused on fertility, Dr Q decided to pursue this field and gain more knowledge in it. She began her fellowship at Steve Biko Academic Hospital and started her Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Pretoria, completing it and her certification in Reproductive Medicine and Endocrinology through the Colleges of Medicine South Africa in 2019.

Dr Q is a compassionate and warm-hearted Gynaecologist and Obstetrician who enjoys getting to know her patients while helping treat the issues they are facing. At Fertility Matters, Dr Q Cele strives to put patients at ease and aims to empower her patients by transferring knowledge. With immense respect for her patients and deep and holistic management of disease, Dr Q lives to assist women struggling with infertility.

Outside of the fertility centre, Dr Q is involved in several charity projects, with a passion for touching and changing people's lives, especially the lives of fellow women, the youth and the less fortunate.
